I am partnered with a fantastic and well-established QS consultancy who work across a multitude of industries within Infrastructure, Energy and Utilities. Due to a huge upturn in work across many projects, this brilliant company are looking to welcome numerous Quantity Surveyors to their team of professionals in the North of England.

In order to qualify for the role:

- You must have experience administering the NEC contract - Essential
- You must have the will to continuously develop yourself and support colleagues around you

- Must have a passion for the NEC suite of contracts

With a Commercial Director already in place, the team is now expanding and looking to appoint both a Senior Quantity Surveyor and a Managing Quantity Surveyor.

About You

- Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Civil Engineering
- Background with a Tier 1 or large Tier 2 contractor
- Solid working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts
- Alliance / collaborative contracting experience (desirable)
- For MQS: experience managing QS teams
- Able to commute to Ipswich 2–3 days per week

You will take ownership of a high value portfolio on the CP7 Eastern Routes Partnership (ERP) Framework. The framework is to provide a multitude of minor works and civils packages across the country. This project alone will help excel your career, giving you the opportunity to gain broad, all-encompassing exposure as a quantity surveyor, while also extending your experience through involvement in high-profile projects across the wider business

Work will include:

- Contract administration under the Main Contract and Subcontracts
- Support the team with management of subcontract payment notices in accordance with statutory and company requirements
- Assist in the preparation of periodic cost/value reconciliation reportsIdentify risks and opportunities in the administration of commercial processes upstream and downstream
- Monitoring of planned vs actual cost across disciplines (Labour, Plant, Material, and Subcontract)
- Timely issue of contractual notices and quotations under the projectFirst principles estimating

About You

- Quantity Surveying experience within the construction sectors
- Excellent attitude and willingness to learn and develop is a must
- NEC contract experience is desirableRail or Framework experience is desirable
- Can commute to Ashford, Kent 2 days a week
